The idea of a versatile compact automated CNC router for cutting sink openings was born in the summer of 2016 when multiple fabricator customers brought up their compelling need for a machine that could cut any sink template.

 

Many small to medium fabricators make sink holes with hand-held tools. It’s dusty, labor intensive, time consuming, and inaccurate. Cutting sink openings makes up a major part of day to day fabrication tasks. There are water jet CNC machines that do wonders in cutting sink openings and more, but they are quite expensive and require a lot of maintenance.

There are also smaller semi-automated and automated cutting machines, but they all have limitations. For example:

• some cut only oval templates, or cannot cut large openings;

• many need physical templates for each sink model;

• some others, being CNC, require a computer, extra software and extensive professional training that most fabricators lack.

Our engineers have been working diligently with fabricators for over two and a half years to create a solution to these needs and issues. The answer? Versablade®. Through a rigorous process of failure, improvement and attention to detail in a real-life fabricating environment, we turned Versablade® from a mere concept into a powerful tool that achieves beautiful results. We are excited to present you the Versablade® Model X, with US patent pending, a full-functioned CNC router for the sole purpose of cutting sink openings.
